Please read these terms carefully—booking this course implies that you agree to the terms and conditions below.
1. General Information
1.1 The Singing Club is a fixed-term course run by Lo Barnes (hereafter referred to as "we" or "us"). "You" refers to the participant.
2. Payment & Minimum Participation Requirement
2.1 Full payment is required before participating in The Singing Club.
2.2 This course requires a minimum number of participants. If this number is not met, we may need to cancel or reschedule. If you have already paid, you will be contacted and offered either a full refund or the option to transfer to new dates, if possible.
3. Cancellation & Refund Policy
3.1 Course fees are non-refundable. However, in exceptional circumstances, fees may be transferred to another course at our discretion, subject to availability.
3.2 If for any reason we need to cancel a session within the course, we will notify you as soon as possible to reschedule the session.
4. Referral Scheme Discounts
4.1 Previous participants have a unique referral code (please email lo@thesingingclub.co.uk if you need a reminder) and can share it with friends who have not participated in The Singing Club before, for both parties to receive a £10 discount upon use.
4.2 Once their code has been used, previous participants will be emailed a DIFFERENT CODE by Lo to use to claim their own discount. Please email Lo if you expect your code to be used and want a space saved, or want general help / guidance with this process.
4.3 Misuse of this scheme will result in relevant participants being refunded and invited to start over, or being denied access to the course.
5. Attendance
5.1 Discounts will not be offered to participants who cannot attend all of the sessions included in the course.
5.2 We will endeavour to provide audio recordings of the sessions to absentees, where possible. However, please bear in mind this course is not designed to be recorded and experienced outside of the in-person group, so quality of experience may vary.
5.3 Recordings of the sessions are solely intended for participants of the course, and will only be available during the course itself.
6. Photography & Recording
6.1 Sessions may be recorded (audio only) when participants are unable to attend in person. Session recordings will only be shared with participants on the course.
6.2 We may occasionally wish to photograph and record video content of the sessions to use for promotional material for The Singing Club. If this happens, we will explicitly ask for consent from participants in advance.
7. Conduct & Respect
7.1 Participants are expected to cooperate with Lo as the course leader and with fellow participants, and uphold an inclusive and respectful learning environment.
7.2 Any form of negative behaviour—written or verbal—toward other participants, Lo, or any facilitators may result in immediate removal from the course. In this case, no refunds will be issued, and future participation in courses, workshops, or other offerings may be denied at our discretion.
8. Accessibility & Special Requirements
8.1 If you have any accessibility needs, medical conditions, or dietary requirements that require special arrangements, please email us at lo@thesingingclub.co.uk as soon as possible, and at least two weeks before the course begins.
9. Liability
9.1 Lo Barnes and The Singing Club are not responsible for any personal injury or damage to personal belongings before, during, or after course sessions.
9.2 Participants are responsible for their own property and personal safety while attending the course.
10. Venue Responsibility
10.1 Participants must not cause damage to any part of the venue, including walls, flooring, fixtures, fittings, or outdoor areas.
10.2 If you cause damage to the venue, you will be solely responsible for covering any repair costs or reimbursements to the venue owner.
11. Right to Refuse Participation
11.1 We reserve the right to decline or cancel a participant's place in the course at our discretion. This may include, but is not limited to, cases where a client is deemed unsuitable for coaching, has not adhered to previous agreements, or where scheduling conflicts arise. Any applicable refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

1.1 Private lessons are one-on-one vocal coaching sessions run by Lo Barnes, and last 1 hour. Lo Barnes is hereafter referred to as "we" or "us". "You" refers to the participant.
2. Payment
2.1 Full payment is required before attending a private lesson with Lo Barnes.
3. Cancellation & Refund Policy
3.1 Refunds for cancellations will be issued as follows:
More than 48 hours' notice – full refund.
Less than 48 hours' notice – 50% refund.
Less than 24 hours' notice – no refund.
3.2 Cancellations with more than 48hrs notice can be made via Acuity and full refund will be made through the booking system. Shorter notice cancellations must be made via email to lo@thesingingclub.co.uk
3.3 If we need to cancel a lesson for any reason, we will notify you as soon as possible. If rescheduling is possible, your payment will be carried over. If not, you will receive a full refund.
4. Bundle of Lessons (2026)
4.1 The ‘3 Private Lessons’ bundle includes a discount of 10% and is not available to use in conjunction with any other discount codes.
4.2 Your lessons are redeemable for 2 months after purchase.
4.3 You will receive a code to redeem your lessons through Lo’s Acuity booking site. Students are responsible for redeeming their lessons, although Lo will do her best to remind students if they have remaining sessions to use.
5. Discounted Winter Bundle Offer (end of 2025)
5.1 Three lessons are paid for in advance at a discounted price, to be used between date of purchase and end of January 2026.
5.2 Lessons are scheduled directly with Lo - she will contact you once the bundle has been bought. You can reach her at lo@thesingingclub.co.uk
5.3 Lessons can be rearranged up to 48hrs in advance. However, students are kindly asked to avoid rescheduling lessons unnecessarily, as cancelled slots often go unused. Repeated cases of rescheduled lessons will result in unused lessons in the bundle being nullified.
5.4 Students are responsible for remembering to schedule and use their allocation of lessons, although Lo will do her best to remind students if they have remaining sessions to use.
5.5 If you are eligible for The Singing Club private lessons discount, this cannot be used in conjunction with this offer. Your discount is still the best deal in town!
